The Happiest Place for a Birthday
Everyone should celebrate a birthday at Disneyland.
Like, even if “Disney’s not your thing” and I don’t understand you at all, you should just listen to me and just do it. I’m 40 now. So I think I’m really good at bossing people around. I think that’s how this works.
I don’t think I have anything profound to say about turning 40. I think I’m just using this post as an excuse to post pictures of our trip. You understand.
Except to say: I don’t feel 40. (As if I could explain what 40 is supposed to feel like.)
And Disneyland on your birthday – especially a 40th birthday – was the best idea we’ve ever had.
Also: Disney snacks.
My one regret is not riding Radiator Springs at night. But the pictures still make me happy.
I just really like neon signs.
This picture makes me so happy. Marianne and Sarah are the best theme park friends. I also love them as, like, regular friends. But friends who do theme parks well are something to cherish. I’m so grateful to Sarah for making me celebrate my birthday. I’m so grateful to Marianne for making all the celebrating so much dang fun. Is it wrong that I want to spend my 41st birthday at Disneyland, too? Just checking.
